There is a small risk of pain with a blood draw when the needle enters the skin. Bruising at the site of the needle stick may occur, but this is temporary. Some people may experience fainting or dizziness, and there is also a slight risk of infection at the site of the needle stick. To minimize these risks, experienced medical personnel will handle all the blood drawing procedures and sterile conditions will be maintained.
